Sustainability is at the heart of Global Sky Education and our group’s mission of “Connecting the world for a brighter future”.
Research has shown that the earlier children are given opportunities to connect with nature, learn about the environment and our impact upon it, and to develop the skills to care for it, the more likely they will be environmentally responsible as adults.
As part of this recognition, Australia’s National Quality Standard 2011 requires childcare services to embed sustainable practices into their operations, and to include its ideals, ideas, concepts and actions into each centre’s program.
Each Global Sky Education childcare centre is governed by a sustainability policy, concerning such areas as:
• Energy efficiency
• Recycling and use of recycled resources
• Water conservation
• Worm farm/composting.
For more details on our sustainability policy, please contact us via this website or contact your nearest childcare centre.
